Evo black on chrome (seconds)

We like a Mess about Friday here when we get tthe chance. It;'s when some great things happen and sometimes some not so great. but ideas get turned into things and tested.

A couple of weeks ago we were building a set of evo's to test I was getting frustrated with the banding when someone found a tin of chrome paint! So we decided on a chrome base and black laminate and american wallnut banding, all classic hifi colours.

They were painted in a hurry so the paints not perfect, the fronts look good but theres a few blemishes on the sides but we needed to assemble them for the test and not they're assembled we cant strip them to refinish them

They're the same spec as the standard Evo's (up to 18Kg per speaker) but in a one off colour way and probably won't be repeated, well not for now. 

They tested perfectly, so if you don't mind a few blemishes on the bases they're a bargain. Grab them before my girlfriend sees them and insists she keeps shiny ones.
