How Speaker Isolation Mounts Work: A Guide to Cleaner Audio
Let’s break this down, we know the speaker cones vibrate to move air and make the sounds we hear, and we also understand that these vibrations make the speaker cabinet resonate. This resonance is passed down through the speaker to whatever it is sitting on and can be reflected back into the speaker. So what you end up hearing is the speaker mixed with the resonance of the shelf, cabinet, speaker stand or whatever else you might mount your speaker on.
Speaker isolation mounts act as a mechanical barrier that breaks this chain reaction. This is referred to as decoupling and dramatically improvies your sound quality.

Energy Absorption and Dampening
Our mounts are made from an elastomer. This material is viscoelastic. When speaker vibrations hit them, the material deforms slightly, converting the physical kinetic energy into tiny amounts of harmless heat energy before it can reach your furniture.
On a personal note, I was commissioned to design and build these for our friends at Sync Music Hub for their mixing studio. We tested them back too back with some of the leaders in the industry and I was just pleased that mine stood up to the established brands in the studio tests, golden eared mixing tech’s reckoned mine performed best (ok, after about 3 iterations).
My Personal Experiance
I built a few and took a pair home to see what they did on my resaonably priced older hifi set up. I never expected them to make such a difference in my livingroom but in my opinion they made my reasonably priced speakers punch way above their price tag, giving me a product I honestly believe in enough to start this company.
